Robe is a picturesque fishing town located on the Limestone Coast, recognised as the traditional lands of the Boandik people.  Robe is currently well known for its southern rock lobster and many fishing boats can be seen just off the shores.  Full of history and charm, the kids will love exploring this vibrant seaside town and finding out about the role of the Cape Dombey Obelisk, which was erected in 1855.

There are a number of easy walking trails that you can go on, many of them are pram friendly and wheelchair accessible.  If you stop in at the information centre, you can also pick up a brochure about the magnificent historical buildings in town and you can wander around on a relaxed self-guided tour.

If you enjoy fishing, the marina is a popular spot to cast a line.  There is parking right next to the inlet so having the car nearby will save you having to carry your chairs, fishing rods or esky very far.

If you are looking for a white sandy beach for the kids to play on then look no further than Long Beach.  Long Beach is used by pedestrians, 4WDs and cars and is extremely popular during summer.  There are also many 4WD tracks in and around Robe, if somewhere more remote is what you are after.
